Drum Light Chandelier Bar in Black Iron has been sold
Drum Light has sold the bar for $4.5 million in a deal worth $2.1 million.
The bar has a bar and a light fixture.
It is located in the heart of downtown Perth.
The business was started by a former Drum Light employee.
Owner of Drum Light, Scott Molloy, said it was a bittersweet day as it closed.
“It’s been a great life, and we have loved every minute of it, it’s been our life and our passion,” he said.
“The day has come for us to close the doors.”
He said he hoped the bar would help other small businesses and help bring a bit of balance to the area.
“We’ve got a lot of community based businesses, a lot more than a few businesses, so it’ll bring some of that back to our community,” he told News24.
He said the closure would be a good moment for the community to “get together” and celebrate.
“This is a community owned business, we don’t own it, we’re part of it.
I hope it’ll be a positive moment for all of us,” he added.”
There’s a lot going on, it’ll probably be a really cool place to spend a few hours, maybe take a few drinks.”
Drum Light’s owners are pleased to close and said they hoped it would help bring some balance to their community.
